After being introduced to the concept of sexual transmutation, something became very clear to me. Over the past 3 albums, all of the sexual energy that I was harnessing I turned it into music. I wasn't dating, not having sex on a regular basis or at all for that matter. It was all work, doing shows and making music. But that neglected side of me starting creeping out into the new music.

"Beat It", "Shoot Up The Club", "Won't You", "Ayo Papi" and now "the freakshow." all displays the many sides of my sexuality. I always said I wasn't going to get explicit in my music but I threw all of that shit out the window on Black Boy Wonderment.

To be honest with you, I've always wanted to do a song like this: extract audio from a nasty adult clip and put a dope house beat over it. And here we are.
