This, too, was another one that I considered leaving off of the mixtape. I felt like people would not get it no matter how much I tried to kill it. Apparently I was wrong. Not only was I a little uneasy with being a guy and public attacking a Rihanna hit, how was I gonna make this cool? I wanted to approach it from a different perspective which would enhance my stance.

I wanted to take it from the perspective of the guy she shot down. This was his opportunity to tell the story from his perspective as there are two sides to every story. So they say. And in his reflecting, he realizes the error of his decisions and acknowledges her actions as something that he deserved. The end was a small piece I wrote before getting to the studio. I had Marc reverse some of the vocals and I just performed over it. Shout out to Marc too man. I have been working with Marc since about maybe 2010.
